Homemade Chicken Biryani

Recipe is adopted from Madhur Jaffrey's Lamb Biryani recipe in her "Indian Cooking". I used boneless chicken thighs instead of lamb, increased the kind and the amount of spices, and added tomatoes, jalapeño, cilantro leaves and cashew nuts to her original recipe. It was my first try, but turned out to be a delicious biryani that tasted close to the biryani I had at my favorite Indian restaurant before.
